It isn’t just fried foods that are high in saturated fats. Meat – particularly red meat – contains high amounts of saturated fats that as we know, can cause high cholesterol and inflammation.

But it’s not just the fat that is detrimental to arthritis sufferers. Meat contains high levels of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) that promote inflammation, especially when it is cooked by broiling, grilling, roasting, or frying it.
