Even 2% reduction of normal fluid level in you body takes a toll on energy level. In fact, dehydration causes lower blood volume, and the blood becomes thicker. As a result, your heart pumps blood less efficiently, and oxygen and nutrients reach muscles and organs at slower speed.
How much water do I need to drink? There is a general rule of at least 8 glasses a day. But you might use this formula: take your weight in pounds and divide it by two. This is the number of ounces of water you need to consume daily.
