Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar, or ACV to those in the know, is great for lots of things from cooking to cleaning. Its acid content can also kill bacteria and fungi. To use it for nail fungus, simply mix equal amounts of ACV and warm water. The warm water will help soften the nail and its surrounding skin while the vinegar goes to work killing the fungus.
Soak the affected area in this solution for 30 minutes every day. Dry your feet thoroughly when finished. This remedy should clear up the infection within two weeks.
White vinegar is also quite capable of healing fungus. Not only does it fight infection, but it helps to adjust the skin’s acid level to a healthy place. You don’t need to use quite as much white vinegar as you do apple cider vinegar to treat a fungal infection. Mix one part white vinegar to two parts warm water.
Then soak the area, again for less time than if you use apple cider vinegar – only about 10 to 15 minutes. However, you might want to do the treatment twice a day to speed up results. If you find the treatment painful, you can dilute the solution with more water.
